Mock Campaign Strategy
As the Official Wine Sponsor of the NFL, Barefoot Wines has a unique opportunity to show up in a space traditionally dominated by beer. I created a campaign concept called “Bringing Barefoot Back,” inspired by one of the NFL’s most surprising historical quirks: barefoot kickers.
The campaign would feature iconic footage of barefoot moments in NFL history, followed by scenes of fans today enjoying Barefoot Wine at the stadium. It draws a clever parallel between the brand name and a real piece of sports history, sparking curiosity and nostalgia at once.​​​​​​​
To extend the concept into fan engagement, a halftime activation called the Barefoot Kicking Challenge invites attendees to kick a field goal without shoes. It’s fun, interactive, and makes the brand unforgettable in a live setting.
This idea positions Barefoot as a playful and approachable option in a beer-first environment. It connects with fans by celebrating a niche but memorable part of football culture, while staying true to the brand’s friendly and upbeat personality. With the right investment, this concept has the potential to evolve into a standout Super Bowl ad that blends sports, humor, and heart.
